In the wake of the tragic death of Springdale Officer Kaia Grant, The Shield has created a Text to Give program that makes it easier to donate to the families of officers injured or killed in the line of duty.
For those who would like to make a one-time donation, you can text the word GIVE (amount) to 513-986-1010. (Example: GIVE $20.23)
As you may have seen, we have been asking people to give at least $20.23 (2023 was Kaia’s badge number), so this makes giving easier!
Here are all options for giving once, weekly or monthly:
- GIVE (amount) – creates a one time donation to the Shield fund.
- GIVE WEEKLY (amount) – creates a weekly donation to the Shield fund. The donation runs the next day for the first time, then every week thereafter.
- GIVE MONTHLY (amount) – creates a monthly donation to the Shield fund. The donation runs the next day for the first time, then every month thereafter.
Even if you can’t donate, you can still support The Shield.
